The birth name of Mahamati Prannath was Meheraj Thakur. Because of his remarkable brilliance while growing towards adolescence, he became profound in worldly knowledge. Mere at the age of 12 years, along with his elder brother Gowardhan Thakur, he could attain the proximity of Sadguru Shri Devchandra ji Maharaj. Immediately reviewing his holy soul, Nijanandacharya Shri Devchandraji declared him the inheritor of his Tartam knowledge. Until the age of 25 years, he hanged on acquiring knowledge of theology, accustom, and divine providence and knowledge related to awakening of soul from his Sadguru. Receiving his Guru’s command, he first travelled to Ahmedabad and then to gulf countries like Basra and Baghdad. Wherever he went, through the light of spiritual knowledge he kept on illuminating the minds of people. He also gave to the acquaintances the knowledge of Indian life and theological philosophy to the ruler of Arab.
After returning back to motherland he worked in the civil court of king Jaam and Kallaji for little period of time. Keeping close contact with Sadguru Shree Devchandraji he left the post of civil court forever and became the propagator of theosophy. After the death of his Guru, he made the son of his Guru to occupy the religious throne and left on the journey of soul awakening. Journeying through many places he reached Surat travelling from Div Bandar to Lathi, Thattha, Muscat, Abbas etc. He established the major seat Shree 5 Mahamangalpuri dham at Surat. Blowing the bugle of soul awakening, he continued moving from surat to Siddapur, Merta, Mathura, Agra, Delhi, Haridwar, Anup Shahar, Aamer, Sanganer, Kaama, Udaipur, Ujjain, Aurangabad, Ramnagar and through Gadha reached Panna. Deploying the splendor of theology and self-awareness at the places of Chitrakoot and Bijawar, thereafter he stayed in Panna permanently. He awakened Bundelkesari Chhatrasaal through his divine knowledge and made him financially, socially and spiritually strong and efficient. During his soul awakening journey more than 5000 persons had become his disciples. Dwelling with them permanently in Panna, he designated Panna with the name of Shree 5 Padmawatipuri dham. Eternal knowledge in the form of verses incarnated from his own holy front which is compiled in 14 volume i.e. 18758 quatrain of Tartam Sagar - Kulzam Swarup Saheb - a great treatise of spiritual literature which is universally worshipped by his followers. His disciples were also from various castes, creeds and religious streams that carried forward the task of propagating his beliefs & thoughts with mutual co-operation.
Attention of Indian history writers has not been properly centralized yet on the life and philosophy of this great soul- Mahamati. In order to propagate the message of Mahamati to the masses, the fourth birth centenary festival of Mahamati Prannath is being organized. So collaboration of each and every one of us together with body, mind and wealth is expected.
